To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on the top of the phone

Once the phone has been activated, we will see the lock screen
.
To unlock the phone, swipe the screen upwards. Once the phone has been unlocked, we will see the home screen. At the bottom, we will see icons. It is one of these icons that we now need, because we need to open up the applications folder.

To do that, we need the icon located at the bottom of the home screen

In the middle, we can see that there is a grid made up of white dots. Press down on this icon and it will open up our applications folder.

In this folder, we need to find the Photos application
.
Ours is located at the bottom of the screen. The icon is a pinwheel shape made up of different colors. It also says the word "Photos" underneath. Your Photos application may be in a different position in this folder. Scroll up or down to locate it, and press down on the icon, allowing us to enter the application. In this video tutorial, we want to show how to set a photo from this application as the wallpaper on an HTC One M8.

We must first choose any photo that we like

A pop-up menu appears with options

It says, "Complete action using", and gives different options. The first option says "Wallpaper" and the second option says "Wallpaper", but they have different icons. The first icon, the one at the top, is the icon for the Gallery app. The second icon is the icon for the application that we're currently using, Photos. This is the option we want. Press down on the second "Wallpaper" option.
