You can customize your Samsung Galaxy S4 to change the wallpaper for your home screen, lock screen and both. You can also set it to use a live wallpaper.

- 2Tap and hold on an empty space on your screen.
- 3
- 4Tap on a selected option.
- 5
- 6Choose between viewing gallery and saved wallpapers on your phone.
- 7After you have chosen your desired wallpaper, tap on it and tap on "Set Wallpaper"
- 8Repeat the process to put a different wallpaper for your home screen or lock screen.
Set Live Wallpaper on S4
- 1Go to your home screen.
- Set Wallpaper
- Home Screen
- Lock Screen
- Home and Lock Screen
- Gallery
- Wallpaper
- Live Wallpapers
- Worth noting: Live wallpapers look more appealing but consume more battery juice and RAM than static/ordinary wallpapers.
Set Scrolling Wallpaper on S4
By default, Samsung Galaxy S4 does not have an option to make wallpaper scrollable. If you are one of those people who are fond of a scrolling wallpaper, you may want to follow these instructions to get one:
- 1Go to your home screen.
- 2Tap on the "App" icon.
- 3From the application folder, tap on "Play store"
- 4Tap the "Search" button on the upper-right corner of the screen
- 5Search for the keywords, "Landscape Wallpaper"
- 6Tap on the first line of the results and install it.
- 7Go to your application folder and look for the Landscape Wallpaper app icon.
- 8Tap on the icon to open it.
- 9
- 10Tap on Select image(s)
- 11Tap on "Single Image"
- 12Tap on "Gallery" to choose pictures from your phone's gallery.
- 13From the gallery of images, tap on the picture that you want to set as a scrolling wallpaper.
- 14Tap "OK" to confirm it.
- 15Tap on "Start Live Wallpaper" to see a preview on how the scrolling wallpaper be viewed on your phone.
- 16
- 17When you are done, press the home button.
- 18
- Worth noting: This application is actually a live wallpaper. Thus, it runs on the background, like live wallpapers do, and consumes RAM and battery juice more than the static/normal wallpapers.
Bonus: Save battery power by using black wallpaper
Your screen takes a great chunk of your battery consumption. If you are more interested in power-saving than aesthetics, you can set your background to plain black to save more. To do it:
- 1Go to Google.
- 2Search for the keywords, "black screen"
- 3Go over the results and download a picture with plain black screen.
- 4Save the picture to your phone's gallery.
- 5Follow the above procedures on setting wallpaper to your phone.

The Muzei Ghibli app on my S4 won't pan out on my screen as a live wallpaper?
I've downloaded the Muzei Ghibli app and the respective Muzei app so that I can set Ghibli studios images as my home screen background, but the live wallpaper won't pan the images.
I go to Set Wallpaper > Live wallpapers > Muzei > Set wallpaper. It's supposed to pan when I scroll. Help?

There's an image - a photo of my son taken by him and installed by him - that is the first thing seen when I wake my phone up?
I've looked in all the files and all the wallpaper settings (lock/home etc.), but I can't find the photo to delete it. Once unlocked, other wallpapers are shown, not the offending photo. So where else might I look to find where the 'lock' wallpaper is stored?
It can be stored in many places. You will need to either replace the wallpaper or uninstall the application that adds it.
- 1Press the home button.
- 2Tap on "Apps".
- 3Tap on "Settings".
- 4In the "Device" section, tap on "Wallpaper".
- 5Tap on "Lock screen".
- 6Select a wallpaper picture.
- 7Tap on "Set as wallpaper".
- 8If that did not help, press the home button.
- 9Tap on "Apps".
- 10Tap on Gallery.
- 11Open a picture.
- 12Press the menu button of your phone.
- 13Tap on "Set as".
- 14Tap on "Lock screen".
- 15You may need to crop your image before the setting is applied.
- 16If neither method helped, then press the home button.
- 17Tap on "Apps".
- 18Tap on "Settings".
- 19Tap on "Application manager".
- 20Tap on "Downloaded".
- 21Here are some lock-screen wallpaper applications: AcDisplay, Alarm Anti Theft Screen Lock, C-Locker, Cover Lock Screen, DIY Locker, Dodol Locker, GO Locker, Holo Locker, Locker Master, LokLok Connected Lock Screen, MagicLocker, MixLocker, Next Lock Screen, Picturesque, Sparky Lock Screen, etc.Locate downloaded programs that you do not know and uninstall them.
- 22Reboot your phone.
My Samsung S4 reset itself. I can't change wallpaper now?
My S4 turned off and on by its own last night, when I turned it on this morning, my home screen looked completely different. I tried to reset it to the way it was starting with wallpaper, but when I try to set a wallpaper, it doesn't hold. Haven't even tried to move the icons (which are now super huge) back on the screen. Have been having a lot of trouble the past week or so with a screen going back to a background while I am doing a text of email or looking things up on the net. It has not been a good couple weeks with my phone

I'm unable on my S4 to choose a picture from gallery and make it 'Wallpaper'?
The black 'picture' I took by covering the lens is in the gallery and it shows up in the choices of wallpaper, but when I select it as my choice, gallery opens and I can't find a way to "Set Wallpaper"..... I have tried: I've tried the 'Set Wallpaper' option in 'settings' and the suggested procedure here. I think it was caused by: Unknown... My 'old' Motorola Mini would 'set wallpaper' by holding down the picture and choosing to do it
