We are using the Huawei G700

You need to access the settings menu. To access it, you need to swipe down on the screen

and then we have to press the button on the left
.
5
Once in the settings menu, we are going to need to press more
6
and then press tethering and portable hotspot
.

You will notice several sections in this menu and we are going to need to select the WiFi hotspot just don't turn it on yet
.
8
First thing you need to do is set up your WiFi hotspot
.
We'll press this button here
9
and now, you're going to have to input a name
.
You can leave it blank or you can give it your custom name.
10
Now that we have setup a name, we need to choose the security option
11
We have three options, it's none, WPA, WPA2
.
Depending on the device you are planning to use it for, you will be changing this option a lot.
12
We will set up for WPA2 this time
13
Now that the security is set up, we choose the password
.
14
On the first installation, the password will be generated randomly
.
So, you want to show the password.
15
Delete everything here, and input your custom password
.
16
We will be using a simple password here
.
Now that the password is set up, you can choose the option to have maximum connections
17
It's either one user, two users and so on, up to eight users
.
18
You are going to click Save
19
and the hotspot settings are saved now
.
In this section, you are going to have Keep WiFi hotspot on
20
and you can choose to keep it always, turn it off when idle for five minutes, or turn it off when idle for ten minutes
.
We are going to choose always.
21
Next thing you want to do is make sure that your mobile data is turned on and set up correctly
.
The setup process varies country to country and between carriers so you might need to contact your carrier first. Now we click the WiFi hotspot button right here
22
Show us that the tethering is active
.
Make sure that the data connection is turned on.
23
You might not need to turn this on for some phones, but some phones need this and once it is running and you have the connection here, you are good to go
.
