   To begin, press the power button located on the right-hand side of the phone

   Find and tap on the WhatsApp tile

   If you do not have the WhatsApp tile on your Home screen, you can find it in the App menu by swiping from right to left on your screen

   We need to go to profile, so tap on that

   You can change that and add an emoticon by tapping on the smiley face located just to the right of your name.

   We want to change the picture, so tap on the square to the left of your name

   If you have no image, that square will be blue.

    Now, we have three different options

    We can either remove a photo and leave it blank, or we can choose a photo from an album, or we can take a photo right now. For this demonstration, I will choose a photo from an album, so tap on choose from albums. This will bring up your different photo albums.

    Let's press Camera Roll to see the different pictures we have available

    To choose a profile picture, simply select an image you like and press on it

    If we press on the screen and hold, we can slide the photo up and down until it is in the desired position. It is going to crop the photo.

How to set profile picture in WhatsApp. Any option to select a picture and then set as profile picture?

When I am trying to set my WhatsApp profile picture, I am able to select "Choose the pic from albums" but then I am not able to see all the albums (meaning all folders), some pics are missing with folders. How can I overcome this? Need help on the same

Some folders and pictures might not be visible after software update or a new SD card. To overcome this, rename some folders.

   Tap on either "Phone" or "SD card" to locate your WhatsApp picture folder.

   Optionally, you can move the contents from the renamed folder into the newly created WhatsApp folder

   To move files, use the Files application. Open the folder with pictures. Tap on the checklist icon at the bottom, select all of the files, tap the icon with an arrow and folder at the bottom. You can select the folder now and tap "move here".
