Set Pattern Lock for LG L70

Steps
- 1There are two ways we can access the Settings menu.To begin, we are on our Home screen.
- 2This will open the "Notifications" screen.One way is by swiping down from the top of the screen.
- 3On the "Notifications" screen, we can press the gear-shaped icon in the top right-hand corner to open the Settings.
- 4It is a gray box with a series of white squares inside of it.Another way to access the Settings menu is through the "Apps" menu, which we can open via the icon at the bottom right-hand corner.
- 5Press down on the "Apps" icon one time to open a list of all of the applications.
- 6On the "Apps" menu, we'll find the gear-shaped icon again that says "Settings".
- 7We can tap on this icon one time to open up the Settings menu.
- 8In the Settings menu, we will need to access the "Display" area, so we'll just select that at the top of the screen.
- 9This can be found in the "HOME & LOCK" section, which is the first area at the top of the screen.In order to set a pattern, we will need to do that on our "Lock screen".
- 10Press down on the second option, "Lock screen", one time.
- 11We currently have no screen lock set.
- 12In order to set a pattern we need to tap one time on the option at the top of the screen.
- 13This is where we can draw a pattern to unlock our screen.Now, we are looking for "Pattern".
- 14We can create any pattern we would like.Once we select "Pattern", a grid with several circles will appear, and it will ask us to "Draw an unlock pattern".
- 15After we have finished drawing a pattern, it will appear on the screen.
- 16Then we want to tap "Continue" at the bottom of the screen.
- 17Now, it is asking us to "Draw pattern again to confirm" that this is the pattern we would like to use.
- 18Now, we're going to tap "Confirm" at the bottom right.
- 19The PIN will be used in case we forget the pattern.Since we have previously set a PIN, we can either use the same one or enter a new PIN.
- 20We'll select "Yes" to enter a new backup PIN, so we can demonstrate exactly how this works.
- 21We'll just choose four random numbers.We need to enter a set of numbers using the keypad.
- 22Then tap "Next" at the bottom right-hand corner.
- 23It will then ask us to "Confirm backup PIN", so we'll type in the same four numbers again.
- 24Now, tap on "Done" at the bottom right.
- 25Now, our Lock screen access has been changed, and we can return to the Home screen by pressing the bottom center button one time.
- 26This will make the screen black and lock it until we reopen it at a later time.To lock the screen from the Home screen, we can press the top button on the right-hand side of the phone.
- 27We can do that by pressing the top button on the right-hand side of the phone.
- 28Now, we'll see the grid where we will need to draw the pattern we just created in order to open the Home screen of the phone.
- 29After drawing the pattern successfully, we'll be taken to the Home screen.
