You're watching VisiHow. In this tutorial, we're going to demonstrate how to change the "Lock Screen Mode" from "Pattern Unlock" to "PIN Unlock".
Steps
1
To do this, we'll take two fingers and swipe from the top to reveal the "Settings" icon
.
2
It's the gear-shaped icon on the top right
.
Lets tap on it once.
3
We'll scroll down until we reach the "Personal" menu cluster and then we'll tap on "Security."
4
Here, we'll tap on "Screen lock." It's currently set on "Pattern."
5
It will prompt us to enter our Pattern
.
6
After we have entered the pattern, we can change this to PIN
.
7
It will give an option of requiring the PIN to start the device and I will leave that as it is and click on "CONTINUE."
8
Now, I will create a PIN, which has to be at least four digits, but fewer than seventeen
.
9
With our four-digit PIN, I will click on "CONTINUE."
10
Reenter that four-digit PIN to confirm it
.
11
12
Now, press the Circle button to go back to the home screen
.
13
Then, press the power button to turn off the device and lock it
.
14
Press the power button once again to unlock the device
.
15
Then, swipe up to enter the PIN code
.
16
Enter the PIN code that you have just created
.
17
Then, press the check mark in the lower-right corner
.
