Set Mobile Data Stats Reset Time on HTC One M8

Hello, and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we're going to show you how to set when to reset mobile data usage on an HTC One M8.


Steps

    To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the Power button, located on top of the phone.

    Once the phone has been activated, we'll see the Lock screen.

    To unlock the phone, swipe the screen upwards.

    Once the phone has been unlocked, we'll see the Home screen with some icons at the bottom.

    We now need to find the Settings menu. To do that, we'll swipe the Notification panel down. Start at the top of the screen and swipe downwards.

    Now, we can see that the Notification panel has appeared.

    We are looking for the icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen, which is a white cog icon. This is our Settings icon.

    Press down on this icon, and it will open up our "Settings" menu. We can see it says the word "Settings" in the top left-hand corner of the screen.

    Underneath that word, we can see these words, "WIRELESS & NETWORKS" in the gray bar.

    This is the section we want to be in and we want the option at the bottom that says, "More" and underneath it says, "Data usage, HTC Mini+, NFC". Next to these words there are three gray dots, in a horizontal row.

    Press down on this section, and it will take us into the "Wireless & networks" menu and the data menu. We can see at the top it says, "Data usage". Press down on this section.

    Now, we have "Mobile data" at the top.

    If we swipe across, we have our "MINUTES" data as well.

    We're concentrating now on our "Mobile data".

    We can choose when to reset this data. On this screen it says "Reset data usage" and underneath it says, "On day 14 of each month".

    Press down on this section then, and we have the option to choose the day. We can reset the date and set it for the "Usage cycle reset date".

    Swipe up and down on the numbers to choose the day that is preferred. We can say that we want to change things on the 20th.

    For example, if we change companies, or we start a new pay system, then we may need to change this in order to reflect the new period for our data. If our data plan changes, then we'll need to change this as well. We'll choose the option we want and press down on "OK".

    Now, we can see that it's been changed. From May 20th to June 19th is this data usage cycle.
