Hello and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how set data limits on a Microsoft Lumia 535.
Steps
1
To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on the right-hand side of the phone
.
2
Swipe the lock screen up and it will take you to the home screen
.
3
Swipe down from the top to get to the notification panel
.
4
Press "all settings" located on the right-hand side of the screen
.
5
Scroll down the settings menu and tap on "data sense"
.
6
Here we have the option to set a data limit
.
I currently do not have a data limit specified. You might want to set a data limit if you are limited to a certain amount of data per month. If you limit the data, you won't go over your data limit, so you won't have to pay any extra charges.
7
Press "set limit" and it will ask for the limit type
.
Press "limit type" and we have the option to a limit. The choices are one time, monthly, and unlimited.
8
For example, if we are on vacation and we don't want to go over a certain limit, we can choose "one time"
.
9
Enter a certain amount of data under the "available data" option
.
We can set our limit at 100MB and then press the checkmark button to set the limit. We can also choose the amount of days until the data expires.
10
If you press "set limit" again, there is also an option to choose between MB and GB
.
If you reach your limit, the data will no longer be active.
11
To turn the data limit off, change the limit type to "none specified" and it will turn the data limit off
.
12
This concludes our tutorial on how to set data limits on a Microsoft Lumia 535
