   To begin, unlock the phone by pressing the top right-hand side Power button and sliding up one time to open the home screen

   We do have a WhatsApp icon on the home screen already

   .

   It is a green chat bubble with a picture of telephone inside of it.

   If WhatsApp is not loaded on the home screen, we can access it through the "Apps" menu

   .

   We can reach that menu by pressing the icon on the lower right-hand side of the screen. It is a gray box with a bunch of white squares inside of it. If we tap here one time, it opens up the Apps menu.

   We can then scroll to the right and left until we find the icon for WhatsApp

   Tap the icon for WhatsApp one time to open up the application. Here we will see all of the active chats.

   To select a new contact, go to "CONTACTS" located along the three menus across the top

   We will see "CALLS", "CHATS", "CONTACTS". Select "CONTACTS".

   To select a new person to receive a message, scroll down to find them and tap on their name to open up a new chat window

   To send a voice message, there is a small icon to the right of where we can type a text message to the person

   .

   That icon is of a microphone. Tap and hold on that icon in green to record a voice message. Once we release the icon, the message will automatically send. Let's record a voice message. When we remove our finger from the icon, we can see that the voice note has been sent on WhatsApp.
