Hello and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how to send your location in a message on an HTC One M8.

   To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on the top of the phone

   Once the phone has been activated, we'll see the lock screen.

   To unlock the phone, press down on the screen and hold down until you see the symbol at the bottom with arrows moving from lock to unlock

   Then swipe up. Once the phone has been unlocked, we'll be taken to the home screen. There will be several icons listed across the screen at the bottom, and it is here where we will find the Messages icon.

   It is the second icon from the left, which is a white rectangular speech box with three green horizontal lines inside

   Press down on the Messages icon, and it will open up our messages for us

   In this video, we want to demonstrate how to send your location in a message. This is a very useful function because if you are trying to meet someone, and they don't know where you are, it could be hard to explain to it to them. Sending the a map with the exact location in it will make it a lot easier for people to locate you.

   First, create a new message by pressing on the white plus sign at the top of the screen in the blue bar

   This will open up and allow us to compose a new message

   We can attach our location by pressing on the white paperclip icon in the blue bar at the top of the screen

   This will bring up our options of different items to attach.

   We want the "Location" option, so tap on that

   .

   "Location" is written in black, and next to it is the location icon, which is a circle blue circle with a white sphere inside that looks like a compass or planet.

   The program has found our location, as indicated by the pin in the middle of the map

   The pin points to a small blue circle, and this is our exact location. The address is listed at the bottom of the screen as well.

   When satisfied with this, press "Done" at the bottom of the screen

    We can choose another location by typing an address into the "Search" bar at the top of the screen

    If we don't want to send our actual location, but we want to send a different location to our contact, we can do that. For example if we were going to meet at a friend's house, we can type in that friend's home address and send it to another friend. Then they would know where to go.

    After we press "Done", it will add the location to the message in the form of a website link

    Once we are satisfied, we can press the icon int he bottom right corner

    It is the blue speech box with three horizontal lines next to it indicating movement. It says "Slot 1" next to it because we are using that slot for our SIM card.
