SMS or text messaging is one of the most frequently used methods of communicating in today's world. The privacy, speed, and the fact that you can send a message from practically anywhere makes texting the go-to for pretty much anyone who owns a mobile device. There are times, however, when sending text messages from a computer is more convenient. If you work on a PC, having to stop and pick up your smartphone to respond to texts can hinder productivity significantly. If your mobile device is out-of-reach and you need to send or respond to a message quickly, doing so from your computer is a great option. Whatever the reason, being set up to send and receive text messages from your computer can be a lifesaver.
There are a variety of ways to use a PC or Mac to send and receive SMS messages. WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, and Skye are a few popular options. Another frequently used app is called MightyText, which is currently for Android users only. With the installation of the mobile app, users can use their Google account to sign-in and sync their messaging app with MightyTexts web interface. So, as long you have access to a web browser, you can send and receive texts messages from your computer or tablet.

Next, a pop-up will appear requesting that you allow both Google and MightyText to use your account information by their respective TOS (terms of service). Tap "Allow" to continue.

Sign in to the MightyText Web Interface
