   To begin, we turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on the top of the phone

   Once the phone has been activated, we will see the lock screen.

   To unlock the phone, we swipe the screen upwards

   Once the phone has been unlocked, we will see the home screen. There will be icons at the bottom. It is one of the icons that we need to access now, as we need to open up the applications folder.

   To open up the applications folder, we need to tap the icon located at the bottom of the home screen

   The icon is in the middle and has a grid made of white dots. Tapping the icon will open up the applications folder.

   In the applications folder, we need to find the WhatsApp icon

   The icon is a green speech bubble with a white telephone inside. Underneath the icon, there is "WhatsApp". The WhatsApp application location may vary in the application folder; therefore, we need to find it.

    • rotate the image by tapping the icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen. The icon is a circle with an arrow at the end;
    • crop the photo by tapping the square icon with overlapping sides. We tap it and choose a part of the photo to crop.

    Once we are satisfied with the selection, we can tap the word "Send"
