Hello, and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how to send a group message on an HTC One M8.

Steps

To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the Power button, located on top of the phone
.
Once the phone has been activated, we'll see the lock screen.

To unlock the phone, press down on the screen

Hold down, and swipe up. Once the phone has been unlocked, we'll see the home screen. At the bottom, there will be icons.

It is here that we need to find the messages icon

It is located here. We can see a white chat box, in the middle there are three green, horizontal lines. Press down on this icon. It will open up our messages. Here, we can learn how to create a group messages. It's very simple.

We're going to press the icon inside of the blue bar, at the top of the screen

It looks like a white plus sign.

Now, we can compose a new message
.
Where it says, "To", we need to add contacts. To do that, we can press this icon here. We can also type in the phone numbers of the contacts, or the name. It will bring up suggestions in the "PEOPLE" list if we type their name here. If we have them in our contacts, on this HTC One M8, then press the icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen. It is the outline of a head and shoulders. Press down on that. It will bring up the people that we have saved on our phone.

Let's press down on the box next to their name

A white check will appear, and the background turns blue. Press down on as many options as we can. We will need more than one selected to create a group message.

In the corner, is the word "DONE", and the number 2 is next to it

It shows that we have selected two contacts. Press down on the word "DONE" to create a group message.

We can now add text here by using the keypad

Then we are ready to send it.

Send it by pressing down on the send icon
.
It is a blue speech square, with the words "Slot 1" beside it. We are using Slot 1 for our SIM card. Once we have created this group message, everyone in the group will be able to speak here, or to post messages. Everyone will be able to see those messages. It will go on, as a normal group chat, in which we are all able to see and contribute to the discussion.
