Monsoon Multimedia, manufacturer of the Vulkano line of media streamers claims that they produce the worlds first "all-in-one video product". You can use a Volkano to watch live or recorded TV, videos, photos, music on whichever screen you want, where you want. The only differences between the models is the storage capability and DVR functionality.

Vulkano Setup

All Vulkano models listed here are connected the same way.

    Choose Network Connection Type

    You will need to connect your Vulkano to your router so it can send you audio and video over the Internet. There are 2 ways to connect your Vulkano to your home network:
     
    1. Ethernet Cable.

      Plug one end of the supplied ethernet cable into the port on the back of your Vulkano, and the other into an open port on the back of your router. The router should be connected to the Internet.
    2. Wireless.

      You will need to know the name (SSID) of the wireless network in your home, along with the password for connection. Keep this information for when you turn on your Vulkano and TV.

    Connect Your Video Source To Vulkano

    1. Composite

      This connection is for standard definition and contains 3 different cables (yellow, white and red). The yellow will supply your video, the red will supply your right audio channel and the white will supply your left audio channel. Connect these to the corresponding OUT connections on your video source.
    2. Component

      This is similar to composite, but it is used for HD video. The video is broken down into 3 different connections. There should be a red, green and blue cable that will be connected to the video IN as shown above. Connect these to the corresponding OUT connections on your video source. You will then want to connect the red and white IN audio connections to the corresponding OUT on your source.

Player 1: Vulkano Flow

The Flow is the most basic model and does not allow you to record due to no additional on board memory. So if you just want to stream movies and TV from the Internet to your mobile, this one is for you.

Player 2: Vulkano Lava

If you want to record thirty 90 minute movies and shows, then the Lava is what you want. It has 4GB flash memory on board.

Player 3: Vulkano Blast

The Blast will allow you to record four hundred 90 minute movies and shows because of the bundled 160GB external hard disk.
