Questions and Answers

I need to choose a model to use with a Mac and Eye TV software. Are Connect and Extend both "Dual" (vs Prime)? It seems that Eye TV only works with Dual and Extend, not Prime. That doesn't seem to make sense, since Prime is Extend plus extra features and Extend is Connect plus extras.. . I am a novice at this.. . IB. I have tried: I haven't tried anything yet because I haven't bought anything yet. I think it was caused by: Incomplete information, Frank.

What are the advantages of the real time transcoder of the extend?

What does the hardware transcoder transcode to? How does one determine the compatibility of the media player software to the transcoded material? Is all content transcoded before being transmitted on either Ethernet or WiFi, or is it only transcoded on demand, based on the media players capabilities?
