   To begin, unlock the phone

   Enter the passcode, or press a finger to the home button to use the fingerprint scanner

   Find the Gumtree application

   The icon has a tree in the center. Tap once to open up the app. It will automatically take us to the home page, indicated by the green house icon in the bottom left corner.

   Click on the "Search" bar at the top

   Type to specify exactly what we're looking for

   .

   For this demonstration, let's type "Car". The app will recommend related searches, like "car seat", or alternatives, like "card" or "carpet", for example. Some also suggest certain categories. But we just want "Car".

   Press "Search" in the bottom right corner

   It's a blue button. This will load up cars. The results are from the location that is set in the app.

   Press "Home" in the top left corner and tap the search bar

   Instead of typing a search query, press on the country name next to "Location" at the top of the screen, just beneath the green header

   In this demonstration, our location is set to "United Kingdom".

    Edit the location

    Maybe we want to narrow down the scope. Tap the location, "United Kingdom" in our case.

    Type the desired location

    We will type in "London" for an example.

    Tap "Distance" to edit how many miles away to search

    We will type "Car". We can press the blue "Search" button at the bottom right corner of the screen again, or tap on "Car" in the suggestion list to generate search results. It will look within 3 miles of London for cars.
