    To begin, unlock the phone

    Either press the lock button on the side, or the home button at the bottom.

    Swipe from left to right across the screen

    Enter the passcode, or hold a finger on the home button to use the fingerprint scanner

    Find the Pages icon
    .
    It is orange with a white pen on it. Tap once to open up the app. We already have a document open. It was a blank page template. We've entered in some text. You might already have a document open with a different format, so it might look different. To learn how to open a document, refer to our other video where we show exactly how to do that.

    Press two fingers to the screen and drag them apart to zoom in

    This is helpful if we are writing a long document and looking for one particular thing.

    Press the tools icon in the top right-hand corner

    The icon is a spanner.

    Press "Find"

    It's the first option.

    Tap in the search bar at the top of the screen and type a search query

    We will type "dream".

    Press "Search" in the bottom right-hand corner

    The word has been highlighted wherever it appears in our document
    .
    We can scroll and zoom to adjust our view. The word we've selected is yellow.

    Press "Next" in the bottom right-hand corner

    It moves to the next instance of our word, "dream", which turns yellow. We could go through an entire book by doing this.
