Search for Words in a Document in Pages on iPhone 6
Edited by Freya, Amanda, Eng
You're watching VisiHow. In this video, we're going to show you how you can search for words on a document on the Pages application on the iPhone 6.
To begin, unlock the phone. Either press the lock button on the side, or the home button at the bottom.
Swipe from left to right across the screen.
Enter the passcode, or hold a finger on the home button to use the fingerprint scanner.
Find the Pages icon. It is orange with a white pen on it. Tap once to open up the app. We already have a document open. It was a blank page template. We've entered in some text. You might already have a document open with a different format, so it might look different. To learn how to open a document, refer to our other video where we show exactly how to do that.
Press two fingers to the screen and drag them apart to zoom in. This is helpful if we are writing a long document and looking for one particular thing.
Press the tools icon in the top right-hand corner. The icon is a spanner.
Press "Find". It's the first option.
Tap in the search bar at the top of the screen and type a search query. We will type "dream".
Press "Search" in the bottom right-hand corner.
The word has been highlighted wherever it appears in our document. We can scroll and zoom to adjust our view. The word we've selected is yellow.
Press "Next" in the bottom right-hand corner. It moves to the next instance of our word, "dream", which turns yellow. We could go through an entire book by doing this.
Press "Done" in the top right-hand corner. This takes us back to the document as it was when we began.
This is a VisiHow video. We've just shown you how you can search for words within text on the Pages application on the iPhone 6. If you have any questions, comments or queries, feel free to add them to the section below and we'll do our best to help you.
