   To begin, we need to unlock our phone by pressing the lock button on the side or the home button at the bottom

   Swipe right and enter the passcode or use the fingerprint scanner to unlock the phone

   At the home page, we need to find and tap the Gmail icon which is the one with an envelope and the Gmail "M"

   As we can see, we have already synchronized one of my emails so it takes me directly to our primary email list

   As we can see, we have a list of emails to choose from and above the list, there is a magnifying glass icon along with the word "Search" so tap within this search bar

   We will just search for the words "Janet" and we can see that all emails with the words "Janet" have now been listed

   .

   We can search more specifically by searching for more than one word and it will still work the same way. We can search for a subject title, somebody's name, a topic included in an email and it should come up.

   We can remove the search keywords and then press "Cancel" to stop typing

   Press the "Primary" and the back arrow to go back to the primary email
