Edited by Djinu, VisiHow, Eng
You're watching VisiHow. In this tutorial I'm going to demonstrate how to save a web page for offline access on your Nexus 6P.
Steps
1
From the home screen navigate to your web browser
.
I'm using Google Chrome, so I'll tap on the Google Chrome app.
2
I previously navigated to a web page, which I'd like to save
.
3
To save this web page, I'll tap on the top right hand corner, where it shows three dots
.
4
I will choose "Print" option on the menu.
5
Here, I will click the drop down and make sure that "Save as PDF" is enabled as opposed to another printer, which will actually print it
.
6
I'll click on the circular icon, which is an arrow with the text pdf
.
7
This will begin the download process
.
First of all I can name the file, the default is to name is the same as the title of the web page, which I am happy with.
8
I can also choose to create a folder here
.
9
If I want to make a new folder for it to save
.
10
I am going to click "CANCEL."
11
12
I can choose to save this onto my Google Drive not onto the Downloads area
.
The entire purpose of this tutorial is to have the web page available for offline viewing. I want to make sure that the web page stays on my phone instead of possibly being in the cloud with Google Drive.
13
With all those options enabled, I will click on "SAVE" at the bottom right-hand corner
.
14
Go back to the home screen
.
15
Swipe down from the top with two fingers twice
.
16
I will turn off all of the Internet connection just to demonstrate that you can view this offline by tapping the WiFi icon
.
17
Swipe up from the bottom
.
18
We'll go to the Downloads folder, which is going to be inside of the applications tray
.
19
We can see that I have this document.
20
I click on it, and now I can view this offline and learn more great stuff from VisiHow
.
