   On the home screen, find the 'Google Maps' application

   My home screen might be different because it is organized with different folders. In this case, the application is located in the "Travel" folder. The icon is colorful with a green triangle, a yellow line, a blue triangle, a red pinpoint and also a Google "G" icon in the top left, or like a smaller version of the map. Tap it once to open the application.

   Your home screen will be displaying the last place you've searched for, or your current location

   The red pinpoint indicates the place you last searched for, and the circle compass icon will indicate that it is displaying your current location if it is highlighted blue.

   If you want to search for a new place, tap on the white bar at the top of the screen and press the cross in the top right corner to begin typing a new location

    This will bring up a list of options.

    Save the map by tapping 'SAVE' in the bottom right corner of the screen

    You can zoom in or out, or rotate the map before saving to get exactly the map you need.

    Name the map you have saved and tap Save

    It is automatically named by its location, but you can erase the name and type one in yourself. Tap 'CANCEL' if you don't want to save the map, and tap 'SAVE' if you want to continue.

The compass icon is not displaying on my map search?

The compass is not displaying on my map search and when I swipe up I do not get any info / options to download. I am in the UK and trying to save map of Majorca. I have tried: The compass icon is not displaying on my map.. I think it was caused by: Issue with iOS update??
