Hello, and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we're going to show you how to turn On or Off the option to save blocked messages in the block box of an HTC One M8.

   To begin, turn the phone On by pressing the power button located on the top of the phone

   .

   Once the phone has been activated, we'll see the lock screen.

   To unlock the phone, press down on the screen, hold down until an icon appears, and then swipe up

   Once the phone is unlocked, we'll see the home screen, and at the bottom of the screen are several icons.

   We need to find the "Messages" icon

   It is a white chat box with three green lines in the middle. Press down on this icon to enter the "Messages" section.

   In this section, we need to find the "Settings" menu

   To do that, press down on the icon located in the top right-hand corner of the screen. There are three small squares in a vertical line. Press down on this icon to bring up a menu.

   We want the second option from the bottom

   It will say "Settings" in white text. Press down on it to enter the "Settings" menu.

   We want to choose the bottom option

   It says the word "General" in black text. Press it to view the general settings.

   Scroll down to the "Settings" section

   .

   We can see the option that says "Save block message". If this option is selected, it will save messages that have been blocked from our blocked contacts. We'll still be able to read them, but it will save them in the block box. If we don't want this to happen, then these messages will not reach us. It will block them completely, and they will not enter into our HTC One M8 phone. This a choice we'll need to make. We may still want to receive messages from a blocked contact just to see what they are saying. Depending on the contact, we might still want to monitor what is being sent to our phone. If it's really bad and we don't want to receive it at all, uncheck this box to turn it Off. The message won't even make it to the HTC One M8 phone.

   Press down on the box next the "Save block message"

   This will turn it Off and remove the blue check in the box. Just press the box to turn it On or Off. If the check is there, it is On, and if not, then the option is turned Off.
