Root the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Using Odin V3

Do you have a Samsung Galaxy Note2, and the warranty from the store you purchased it from has already expired? Perhaps you just purchased a Samsung Galaxy Note2 and want to explore the world of rooting.
Pretty much all the things you need to root the phone can be learned from this article. If you are just a beginner, don't worry; we will try to make it as easy as possible. This article includes simply steps. There are no complicated steps, and nothing too technical for you to follow. Enjoy your phone after rooting it. There are so many more possibilities.
What To Do First
- 1Make sure the battery in your phone is at least 75% charged. If you are interrupted during the process, things will become complicated. If you're unsure, keep the phone connected to the charger during the process.Battery.
- 2You should ALWAYS backup your phone data, including contacts, videos, pictures and anything else important to you that you don't want to lose. If something does go wrong, at least you'll be able to restore those files.Backup.
- 3Make sure you've installed the Samsung Drivers on your computer, to enable your device to interact with your computer. You can also download the Samsung Drivers from this LINK.Drivers.
- 4Ensure your phone's USB debugging has been enabled. If you do not know how to enable the USB debugging, follow these steps:USB Debugging.
- On your phone, go to Applications or "Apps".
- Look for "Settings" then tap it to launch.
- Once you launch Settings, look for "About Phone".
- Look for "Build Number" then tap it 7 times.
- Once you tap it five times, you'll get a pop up message on screen that a few more taps and you'll have the developer option.
- After the tapping's finished, go back to the previous menu and look for the "Developer Option" from the list and open it. Check the portion for USB debugging for you to enable it then exit.

Steps For Rooting The Samsung Galaxy Note2
- 1After you download ODIN on your computer, you need to extract it - then install it.You need to download and install the ODIN Version 3.07 from this LINK.
- Turn off the mobile phone. Turn it off the usual way by pressing and holding the power - then shutdown or take the battery out of the phone
- Press and hold the Volume Down + Home - Then the Power Button
- Once you see a "Warning Sign" Let go of the buttons then press the Volume Up to accept.
How To Unroot The Samsung Galaxy Note2
If the phone was already rooted, and you simply want to set it back to normal so you can receive official updates from Samsung, there is a way to unroot your phone, and reverse the procedure. Please note that the Knox counter will stay active where Samsung check it, whether you've had the phone rooted or not. In order for you to gain the warranty back from the manufacturer, or from the store where you purchased it, you just need to reset the Knox counter. You can download an application from Play store called, "Triangle Away" to reset the Knox. Go to this LINK. Please note that this is an Official firmware and not the custom ones.

- 1Ensure the battery life of the phone is at 75% or more.
- 2This is to ensure you can retrieve them in case something goes wrong.Do a back up of all the files that you have in the phone.
- 3Enable the USB debugging on your phone.
- Go to "Apps"
- Look for "Settings" then tap it to launch.
- Once you launch settings, look for the "About Phone".
- Tap the "Build Number" 7 Times then Exit. On some Galaxy Notes, the Developer Option is available in the settings menu already, and enable the USB Debugging on phone.

Instructions
- 1Just turn it off then press and hold the Volume Down then the Home button plus the Power button and wait for a couple of seconds. Once you see the warning sign, let go of the buttons and press the Volume Up to Enter.Access the download mode on your Samsung Galaxy Note2.
- 2If you do not have an unzipping program, you can go to this LINK to download. Once you unzip the file, you should have the file with an extension "tar.md5"Download the stock ROM for your mobile phone then unzip to get the file.
- 3Now, install ODIN on your computer from this LINK
- 4Just right click then select on run as administrator.After installing ODIN on your computer, you need to run the launcher as an "Administrator".
- 5Click the PDA then select the file you have extracted earlier with the extension of "tar.md5"then click the "Start" to begin the flashing. If you get a failed message or something for ODIN and Kies, just repeat the steps - no need to panic. Once you see the "PASS!" message, then the firmware has been change to the original version. If you need to update the phone's OS, then do the normal method of using Kies or OTA (Over the Air).Once you have the ODIN interface up on computer screen.
If you encounter an unresponsive phone, or you're getting error messages on the screen, perform a Hard Reset on the phone to wipe all data and restore them on your phone. If you don't know how to reset your phone, here are the steps that you can take:
- 1Turn off the phone.
- 2Press and hold Volume Up then the Home Button and the Power at the same time.
- 3Once you have the Recovery Menu, select "Wipe Data and Factory Reset.
- 4Reset the phone's system, and it will be good to go.
- Volume Up to Scroll Up.
- Volume Down to Scroll Down.
- Power to Select.
