Hello and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how to restrict background data when roaming while using a Microsoft Lumia 535.
Steps

- 5One option we want to look at today in this video is to restrict background data when roaming. This option will allow you to pause or restrict the flow of data between background applications when you are roaming. This means things like the Weather, or things that activate the Store application that gives suggestions about new apps to buy - all of these are running in the background. They are taking up data and room. They are actually connected to the internet in order to give you an instant update when you are checking your emails or things like that. Even if you are not aware that you are doing it, it will still cost you money and it will be expensive if you are using roaming costs. This feature helps turn off and restrict those background applications from exchanging data with the internet. We have some options.

- 7If we want to turn this off when we are back in our own country or we are back somewhere where we have an established internet provider whom we have a contract with, or we actually have a fixed bill, we can just swipe the switch back to OFF then we will be able to use our internet settings like we always do.
