You're watching VisiHow. In this tutorial, we're going to show you how to restore your factory default display settings on a Mac once you've removed the SwitchResX application. This works for Mac OS X Yosemite and other versions that are supported by the SwitchResX application.

- 6Our resolution will no longer be scaled to whatever the customized setting was when we were using SwitchResX. Once we've clicked "Default for display", it will automatically reset our display to the factory default settings. For this demonstration, we aren't going to do this because we have a special setting arranged to create this tutorial video. However, all we have to do is tap "Default for display", and it will automatically restore the screen back to the factory settings.Once we click "Default for display", it will automatically shift the resolution back to the factory default setting.
