To begin, unlock the phone by pressing the top right-hand-side power button

Swipe upwards one time to get to the home screen

Find the Google Keep icon on the home screen

It's a yellow square icon with a light bulb inside of it.

If it's not on the home screen, access the application through the Apps menu

The icon is a gray box with a set of white squares inside of it. For now, we will open up Google Keep directly from the home screen.

Tap on the Google Keep icon one time

Now we are viewing all of our active notes in Google Keep. In order to restore a note from the Trash that we have deleted, we do need to get to the Trash area.

Tap the list icon in the top left-hand corner of the screen

It is just to the left of where it says "Notes" in the yellow bar. It looks like three small lines. If we tap on the lines once, it opens up our account. From here, we can tap to view our "Notes", "Reminders", "Archive", "Trash", or sort our messages by label.

Open the Trash by tapping the fourth option, "Trash"

It's next to the garbage can icon. Tapping it one time opens up all of the notes that we have added to our Trash.

Find the note in the Trash that was deleted that we'd like to restore. At the top of the screen, it does say "Notes in Trash are deleted after 7 days". So after seven days, we will not be able to restore these notes anymore. Let's restore our "Test 1" note.

Tap on the note one time to open it

Across the top, there is a small garbage can icon with a diagonal line through it.

Across the bottom, it says "Note restored"

Tap "UNDO" to undo this restore if desired
.
This would send the note back to the Trash. We only have the option to select "UNDO" temporarily, before the confirmation bar disappears. After that, we would have to go through the full process of deleting the note.

Tap the back arrow to go back

It is across the top on the left-hand side. That brings us back to the Trash area. Let's go back to our notes.

We can see now that the "Test 1" note has been restored to the visible and active notes from the Trash
