Hi! You're watching VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to rename the administrator account in Windows 8.
The first thing that we need to do is to press the Windows key and then press "R" on the keyboard.
When the "Run" window opens, we need to type "secpol.msc". This is the Local Security Policy management.
When the "Local Security Policy" window opens, we need to double-click "Local Policies".
Then, we double-click "Security Options".
At the right side of the screen, we need to locate "Accounts. Rename administrator account".
We double-click "Accounts. Rename administrator account".
Now, we can rename the administrator account. For example, let's name it "VisiHow".
We click "OK". Now, the administrator name has changed. It's no longer "Administrator". It is "VisiHow".
We can now close the "Local Security Policy" window.
This concludes our tutorial on how to rename the administrator account in Windows 8. Thank you for watching VisiHow! If you have any other comments or questions, please leave them in the comment section below.
