    It is that easy. What we did now is we went to the Apps folder, we found the Facebook Messenger. When in the application, we unchecked and unlinked everything. Then, we deleted the application. Let us give the swipe across the screen.

I have been receiving strange messages on Messenger but I cannot find the app anywhere on the phone? Where do I find it? It is not in the Apps directory.

Select one of the methods below.

  • Reboot the phone. The application may appear on the application list when you tap on the "Apps" folder.
  • Press the home button. Tap on "Apps". Tap on Play Store. Search for "Messenger". Alternatively, just navigate to Messenger link in Play Store. Once you have found it, tap on "UNINSTALL". Reboot your device.
  • Press the home button. Tap on "Apps". Tap on "Settings". Tap on the "More" tab. Tap on "Application Manager". Swipe the screen left or right to "DOWNLOADED". Scroll down to find Messenger. Once you have found it, tap on "Uninstall". Tap on "OK".
