Hello and welcome VisiHow. In this video we are going to show you how to Remove an Email Account from an HTC One M8.

To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the Power button located on the top of the phone

Once the phone is activated, we'll see the Lock screen

To unlock the phone swipe the screen upwards.

Once the phone has been unlocked we will see the Home screen and at the bottom we will see icons

What we now need to do is find the Settings menu and to do that we need to swipe the Notification menu down. To do that, start right at the top of the screen and swipe downwards.

Now we can see that the Notification panel has appeared

We are looking for this icon. In the top right-hand corner of the screen, we can see that there is a white cog icon. This is our Settings icon. Press down on it and it will open up our Settings menu.

We can see that it says the word "Settings" in the top left-hand corner of the screen,

Now let's scroll down until we get to the "PERSONAL" section

We can see that it says the word "PERSONAL" in the grey bar.

In this section, we are looking for the option that says the words "Accounts & sync." Next to these words there is the icon of a little grey circle with two arrows forming another circle around it

It will open up our "Accounts & sync" options in our menu

What we want to do in this video is to show how to remove an email account. First, we obviously need to have an email account setup on the HTC One M8. And what we can do is show how to delete it now. We need to go to this section where it says "Mail." We can see that there is an icon of an envelope next to that word. Press down on this section.

Here we have all our accounts

We have one account here, it's "VisiHow@gmx.co.uk." What we want to do is to remove this account. To do that we can press down on this icon here. We can see that there are three small grey squares in a horizontal line. Press down on this icon.

Now we have two options
:
"Sync now" and to "Remove." We want to "Remove" this account so press down on the word "Remove."

Now we have this option

It says, "Remove account." "Removing this account account will delete all of its messages, contacts, and other data from the phone!" If we want to "CANCEL," to go back or if we want to continue, press down on this option in the grey bar, it says, "REMOVE ACCOUNT." Press down on that.

Now we can see that we have successfully Removed the account

The Mail option is gone from the list because we do not now have any email accounts. We do not have email accounts outside of our Google account that we have on this phone.
