Remove a SIM Card from your Microsoft Lumia 535
Edited by Grimm, Zack, Eng, ishaam and 3 others
Hello and welcome to VisiHow. Today, we're going to show you how to remove a SIM card from your Microsoft Lumia 535 smartphone. This is a very simple task, however it can sometimes be frustrating trying to figure out exactly what you need to do to remove the SIM card, if you're pressing too hard, or if perhaps even you're going to break your phone trying to do it. Sometimes, SIM cards can be rather difficult to get out.
Steps
1
The very first thing you need to do is find the Microsoft logo at the top of your phone, look for the front facing camera, identify the headphone jack and the camera flash at the top
.
This lets us know that we're holding the top of our phone, which we want to do.
2
At the bottom, you'll find the USB port and the small microphone port
.
3
Making sure you're actually holding the phone like shown in this video (on the front glass and the back), you're going to press down here on the bottom left hand side of your phone
.
This will pop the back off of the phone.
4
Just pull off the back panel, nice and easy
.
5
Here I have my battery. And there are the two SIM cards.
6
I'm going to take my thumb and put it in the notch below the battery and I'm just going to give it a little push up, which is going to push the battery out
.
Be careful not to drop your battery. If you drop these batteries, they can break. It's unusual, but I have managed to break one myself.
7
To remove a SIM card, just simply put your finger on it and pull down
.
Press and pull. It's an easy process. And now, the SIM card comes out.
8
Again, let's put that SIM card back and I'll show you again how to do that
.
9
Just press down and pull
.
That's it! It's that easy, and the SIM card comes out. Now, because this is dual SIM card phone, I can leave the SIM card out and it's not a problem.
10
Let's put the phone back together
.
We take our battery and find these gold contact points here on the battery.
11
Match them up with the gold contact points on your phone
.
12
Very carefully and easily slide the battery back in
.
13
14
Pick up the phone case and slide it on the top, and then close it on the bottom
.
Listen for the snap. Now our phone has been successfully closed back up with one SIM care in and one SIM card out.
15
This concludes our tutorial for how to remove a SIM card from the Microsoft Lumia 535
.
