Remove Microsoft Outlook Account from HTC One M8

Hello and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how to remove a Microsoft Outlook account from an HTC One M8.

Steps

    To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on the top of the phone

    Once the phone has been activated, we will see the lock screen.

    To unlock the phone, swipe the screen upwards

    Once the phone has been unlocked, we will see the home screen, and at the bottom, we will see icons.

    We now need to find the settings menu

    To do that, we need to swipe the notification panel down. Start right at the top of the screen and swipe downwards. The notification panel appears.

    In the top right-hand corner of the screen, there is a white cog icon

    This is our settings icon. Press down on it and it will open up our settings menu. Note that it says the word "Settings" in the top left-hand corner of the screen.

    Scroll down to the personal section

    It says the word "Personal" in a gray bar.

    Press on "Accounts & sync"
    .
    Its icon is a gray circle surrounded by two arrows making another circle. Pressing down on this option will show us all the accounts that we currently have synced with our HTC One M8.

    Locate "Outlook.com"

    Next to the words is the Outlook.com icon. Press down on this option.

    Once we're in the "Outlook.com" menu, we are looking for the option right at the top

    It shows the account. Our account is called "tomthumb391@outlook.com". We want to remove this account. If we remove this account, it will delete all the information or the mail, any photos, or anything that we have connected to this account. It will delete it all from the phone. We will no longer receive any communication or mail from this Outlook.com account.

    Press down on the icon that looks like three small gray squares in a horizontal line

    A dropdown menu will appear.

    Press the option on the bottom that says "Remove"

    Now we have a message titled "Remove account"

    It says, "Removing this account will delete all of its messages, contacts, and other data from the phone!" If we want to continue, we press down on "REMOVE ACCOUNT". If we want to cancel, we press down on "CANCEL" to go back. We will press down on "REMOVE ACCOUNT".

    A black bar will indicate that the phone is processing the removal

    It will remove the account completely.
