Hi, you're watching VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to record your steps on the MyFitnessPal application on the iPhone 6.
Steps
1
To begin, unlock the phone by pressing the lock button on the right-hand side of the phone
.
Alternatively, press the big round button at the bottom of the phone called the home button.
2
Once the lock screen is up, simply swipe right to unlock the phone
.
Enter the passcode or press your finger on the home button, which doubles as a fingerprint scanner, if you have that option enabled.
3
Look for the "MyFitnessPal" app, which, in this case, is in the "Useful" folder
.
It is a blue icon with a white silhouette of someone jumping, and in the left-hand corner there is a grey tab with a little dumbbell symbol. Tap it once to open the application.
4
It will automatically open to the homepage where we can see our daily calorie count, the option to connect, some status updates and blog posts
.
5
In the bottom grey bar, tap the last option, "More", with 3 dots
.
This will open up the menu.
6
Find and tap on "Steps" which has a picture of 2 footsteps on the left-hand side
.
This will open up the options.
7
Here we can choose how to record our steps
.
At the moment, there is a blue tick on the right-hand side of "iPhone", so our steps are being tracked by the phone. If we're using something else, for example, the Apple iWatch, tap on "Add a device".
8
After tapping "Add a device", we can scroll through and select exactly what we're using
.
There are also some specific sports devices as well. When we're done, we can tap the back arrow in the top left corner.
9
If we don't want the steps to be tracked, we can tap "Don't track steps" and the blue check mark will be to the right of it indicating that it is selected
.
10
We can change the "Daily Step Goal" by tapping on it
.
For the iPhone, it says that it uses the built-in motion sensor.
11
It was set to 10000, so we'll set it to 9000, then tap on the white check mark
.
12
Tap on the back arrow in the top left corner to go back
.
13
Tap the home icon in the bottom left corner to return to the home page
.
14
Now, under calories, it shows a very small bar that shows the amount of steps we've taken, and our daily goal
.
The more we walk, the more the orange bar fills up.
15
This concludes the tutorial on how to record steps on the MyFitnessPal application on the iPhone 6
.
