Edited by Thor, Courtney, Eng
Hello and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how to rearrange the quick settings on an HTC One M8.
Steps
1
To begin turn the phone on by pressing the Power button located on top of the phone
.
2
Once the phone has been activated we will see the Lock screen
.
3
To unlock the phone, press down and swipe the screen upwards
.
4
Once the phone has been unlocked we will see the Home screen, at the bottom we will see five various icons
.
We now need to swipe the Notification panel down.
5
To bring down the Notification panel, start right at the top of the screen and swipe downwards
.
6
Once the Notification panel has appeared, we need to swipe downwards a second time to bring up the Quick Settings menu
.
To do that start at the top of the screen again, and swipe downwards.
7
Now we can see we have our Quick Settings menu, we have all of our icons that allow us easy access to these common functions and applications
.
8
We are now looking for an icon at the top of the screen, it is a white frame with a pencil or pen inside of it
.
9
Press down on this icon one time
.
This will open a new menu titled "Edit Quick Settings".
10
Here we can see it says "Edit Quick Settings", with the words "Press and hold right icon to rearrange"
.
These are our current Quick Settings. These are the ones we have on our menu currently. We may want to rearrange these settings and place them in different positions so we can form groups of common interest or function.
11
We can do as the phone says and press and hold the right icon to rearrange, this right icon features three horizontal gray lines
.
12
Press down on one of these icons, for our example we will use "WiFi", dragging it while we hold our finger down to move it around
.
We can move this around to wherever we would like.
13
Perhaps we want to place it near "Bluetooth" because they have they have similar functions and both use similar ideas, so let's put them together by placing "WiFi" above "Bluetooth" and releasing our finger
.
We also have "Saver" and "EXT Saver" together which also share similar functions and are useful to have together.
14
For a second example, let's say we use "Sound Profile" quite a lot, therefore we are going to press down on the right icon again, the three gray horizontal lines, and move this up to the top
.
This is because it is more important for our daily lives and needs to be easily accessible.
15
We are going to place "Sound Profile" right at the top, then release our finger to place it
.
With this, we see that we can edit these any way that we like and rearrange them, place the ones that are important to us at the top to allow us easy access to these quick settings.
16
This then concludes our tutorial on how to rearrange Quick Settings on an HTC One M8
.
