Rearrange, Add and Remove Home Screen Panels on Samsung Galaxy Note 2

This tutorial is for new or existing users of Samsung Galaxy Note2 to learn more about customizing and re-arranging the phone's home screen. Below are the steps. Enjoy!

Customizing Your Home Screen

Adding an Application

    Tap on "Apps" from the Favorites Tray

    Tap on the application you want to move

    For this example, I will use the "S-Voice" application.

    Drag the application to an available space on the home screen

    The application will now be on your home screen

    You can tap, hold and drag it to adjust its position.

Removing An Icon From The Home Screen

    Screen Panels
    .
    There are five screen panels available on Samsung Galaxy Note2. Scroll to the left or to the right to choose the panel you want to work on.

    Favorites
    .
    The area below the screen, where the icons are located, is called the "Favorites Tray". Tap on the icon you want to remove. For this example, I will use the S-Note icon. Please remember that the "Apps" icon cannot be removed from the Favorites Tray. All the others can be replaced.

    Tap on hold the icon until it turns red and drag it to the trash bin logo to remove it. This won't remove the app from your device, just from the favorites.

Adding a Folder

Your applications can be grouped into folders on your home screen. This will save your screen space and make it look more organized. Below are the steps.

    Tap and hold on an available space on your home screen

    Type in the name you want for your folder and tap "OK"

    The folder will now show on your home screen

    You can tap on the folder and access any of the applications you put inside it.

Removing an Application From a Folder

    Tap on the folder and tap and hold the application you want to remove

Widgets
