Hi, you're watching VisiHow. This a tutorial on how to prevent users from installing printer drivers on Windows 8 computers.
The first thing that we need to do is to access the security policies. The easiest way to do this is to right-click on the Windows button in the lower left corner of the screen.
Then, select "Run" from the menu that appears.
In the "Run" window, we need to type in "secpol.msc", and hit "Enter" on the keyboard.
When the window opens, we need to double-click the "Local Policies" folder in the menu on the left-hand side.
Then click on the "Security Options" sub-folder.
On the right-hand side of the window, we need to double click on "Devices: Prevent users from installing printer drivers".
Now, we need to select "Enabled".
Once this is done, we can close this window by clicking the "x" in the upper right-hand corner.
This concludes our tutorial on how to prevent users from installing printer drivers on Windows 8 computers. Thank you for watching VisiHow. If you have any other comments or questions, please leave them in the comment section below.
