    You can simply give a single press to the power button and hold it, at which point a window will pop up that says, "slide down to power off."

    Slide down from there and the phone displays the word "goodbye." Then the phone powers off and goes back to sleep in little phone land
    .
    It does take a minute for everything to finish processing in powering down.

    If you would like to turn the phone back on you simply repeat the process
    .
    Press and hold the power button on the right side until you feel the phone vibrate.

    Once it is vibrating you can remove your finger, and you will see the phone starting up

    The Microsoft logo and name will appear in the middle of the screen upon startup.

    When your phone starts up if you do not have a SIM card in it, or there is a SIM card problem or SIM card malfunction, you will receive a notice that there is a problem with your phone and that the SIM is not working or has not properly been registered

    Otherwise, Windows will start up as normal and take you directly to your phone.
