Download and Install

Steps
- 1Either press the lock button on the right-hand side, or the home button on the bottom center of the phone's face.To begin, unlock the phone.
- 2Press, hold, and slide from left to right across the screen.
- 3For this demonstration, we will use the fingerprint scanner.Enter the passcode or press a finger on the home button to use the fingerprint scanner.
- 4The icon is blue with a white circle and a white letter "A" inside it.Find the "App Store" icon and tap it.
- 5It is the second icon from the right.Tap the magnifying glass icon at the bottom of the screen.
- 6This gives us a cursor and a keyboard.Tap the "Search" bar at the top of the screen.
- 7As we type, suggestions will appear below.Begin to type "snow roll".
- 8This loads a search results page for that term.Tap "snow roll" when it appears as a suggested search term.
- 9It is the first one. On the right, there is an icon. We have already downloaded the game previously, so our icon looks like a cloud with an arrow pointing down. This means that we can download it from the cloud. If we hadn't downloaded it before, then the icon would say "GET", like the icon on the next search result does.Look at the "Snow Roll" search result.
- 10Tap once on the icon.
- 11The ring means it's preparing to download. The thicker ring shows that it is downloading. When it finishes, an icon will be available on the home screen.Wait for it to finish.
- 12We can open the game directly from this page.Tap "OPEN".

Steps
- 1To do this, press the lock button or the home button.To begin, unlock the phone.
- 2Press, hold, and swipe from left to right across the screen.
- 3For this demonstration, we will use the fingerprint scanner.Enter the passcode or press a finger on the home button to use the fingerprint scanner.
- 4The icon looks like a little blue penguin riding a snowball. It will load either the home screen or, if there was a previous play session, a screen with the best score and some other options.Find the "Snow Roll" icon and tap it.
- 5We have the same options along the bottom of the screen regardless.Tap the house icon in the bottom left to get to the home screen if needed.
- 6It is the icon in the center at the bottom of the screen. Now we can go through and select which ball we want to work with. Because we haven't played the game for long enough, we only have the default snowball to choose from.Tap the snowball icon.
- 7We can drag left or right to see our other options. There's a candy ball, a football, a beach ball, a golf ball, and so on. There's also "Earth". As we progress, we unlock different options. With different balls, we'll have different instructions and different limits. The snowball is the most basic.Swipe through the balls to see which ones are available, or will become available.
- 8This sets the selection.Tap the green box with the checkmark in it.
- 9Now we can begin the game.Tap the house icon in the bottom left to get back to the game's home screen.

Use Gestures

Steps
- 1To do this, press the lock button or the home button. We will use the lock button on the right-hand side.To begin, unlock the phone.
- 2Swipe from left to right across the screen.
- 3For this demonstration, we will use the fingerprint scanner.Enter the passcode or press a finger on the home button to use the fingerprint scanner.
- 4The icon has a snowball in the center with a little blue penguin riding it. It takes us directly to the home page.Find the "Snow Roll" icon and tap it.
- 5It is a large green square with a play symbol, or arrow, on it.Tap the play button to begin.
- 6As it starts, before we do anything, we're just going in a straight line with no obstacles.Watch the snowball roll.
- 7As soon as we do this, we can move left and right.Tap on the screen.
- 8When we do this, the snowball veers off, straight to whichever direction it was heading. There's no way to go in a straight line down the center again. We will crash into the side.Stop tapping.
- 9Tap the play button to start over.
- 10This helps us avoid obstacles by keeping to a narrow stretch of the track.Tapping quickly will create a shorter zigzag pattern.
- 11This helps us roll beyond an obstacle instead of crashing into it. In this demonstration, this would have been a good spot to pause briefly.Stop tapping briefly to allow the snowball to continue in one direction.
- 12Remember, we're not rolling forward in a straight line, we're rolling in a zigzag pattern, so we need to watch for obstacles that are ahead of us diagonally. We also need to avoid the sides of the track.Instead, we tap and crash into the obstacle.

- 4The icon is light blue. It features a snowball with a penguin on it. It takes us directly to the home screen. We can hear the music playing. We have the option to start playing the game, as well as a row of icons along the bottom.Find the "Snow Roll" icon and tap it.
- 5It looks like a flower or a cog.Tap the icon in the bottom right corner.
- 6There are three icons, all colored pink.Look at the options that pop up.
- 7Tap the music note symbol at the top.
- 8It has turned white, which mutes the music. The symbol underneath looks like a megaphone. It is only for sounds within the game. For example, if we bump into something or crash, there's a sound.Look at the music note symbol.
- 9This mutes game sounds.Tap the megaphone icon.
- 10They'll turn pink and game sounds and music will be enabled.Tap both icons again.

Steps
- 1To do this, press the lock button or the home button. We will use the lock button on the right-hand side.To begin, unlock the phone.
- 2Swipe from left to right across the screen.
- 3This will bring up the home screen.Enter the passcode or use the fingerprint scanner.
- 4The icon is light blue with a snowball and a penguin on it. It takes us automatically to the home page, where we can begin to play the game.Find "Snow Roll" and tap it once.
- 5It is a green rectangle with a white play symbol on it. In part three of this tutorial, Use Gestures, we showed exactly how to play.Tap the play button.
- 6For this demonstration, we will tap into a wall to save time.Play as long as possible.
- 7It shows our "BEST SCORE" in the top right corner. We also have the play button in case we want to try again.Look at the screen.
- 8There is a small arrow pointing up.Look underneath the score in the top right-hand corner.
- 9Tap once on the small arrow.
- 10We have the option to share our score via Facebook, Twitter, or YouTube.Look at the share options that drop down.
- 11We will share by Facebook as an example, because the format is very similar for all of them. We will tap the "f" for Facebook.Tap on the preferred sharing method.
- 12It is starting to compose a Facebook post for us. It includes a link to the game so people can download it, and we have room to type whatever we would like.Look at the compose window that appears.
- 13We will type, "Great!".Type a message.
- 14We won't bother with that for this tutorial.Tap "Album" to choose an album if desired.
- 15Tap the "Location" if desired.
- 16We can set who will be able to view this post.Tap "Audience".
- 17We will tap "Only Me" for this demonstration. Sharing via Twitter would be very similar, except we would see a number telling us our character limit.Tap an audience option.
- 18Our score was sent to Facebook.Tap "Post" in the top right-hand corner.
- 19Tap the play button to play again or the house icon in the bottom left to get back to the screen where we started.
