Play Beginner Blues Chords on the Acoustic Guitar

Hello and welcome to VisiHow. In this series of videos, we are showing you some guitar techniques for the absolute beginner. In this video, we're going to show you some bluesy chords.

Steps

1. 1
   First, we're going to make an E chord

   .

   Put your middle finger on the second fret of the A string, the ringer finger on the second fret of the D string, and the index finger on the first fret of the G string.

   Now to make it bluesy, we've got to put the pinky on the third fret of the B string

   .

   OK, you hear it. It's got that bluesy sound.

   Next, we're going to play the A7, so just move all your fingers down one fret

   .

   We're just going to move the whole hand down one fret. So it's going to be the A, A minor chord, with the little pinky on the third fret of the bottom E string. So we've got the middle finger on the second fret of the D string, the ring finger on the second fret of the G string, and the index finger on the first fret of the B string.

   Next, we're going to have a B7 chord, which is the index finger on the first fret of the D string, middle finger on the second fret of the A string, ring finger on the second fret of the D string, and little finger on the second fret of the bottom E string

   Now let's try to play them in a pattern

   We'll start with a 4/4 pattern. You can play them any way you want. Be creative, experiment and see what happens.
