To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on the right-hand side of the phone

Once the phone is activated, swipe the lock screen up to get to the home screen

On the home screen, find the TripAdvisor tile
.
It has a green background, and in the middle is the TripAdvisor logo, which is an owl with hypnotic eyes. If the TripAdvisor tile has not been pinned to the home screen, swipe left to find it in the Apps menu.

Once TripAdvisor has been located, press down on it to enter the application

Swipe across if necessary to reach the "explore" section

The location's "details" page can be pinned to the home screen

One reason for doing this is during travel, it is helpful to have a list of attractions, restaurants and hotels available to visit. Pinning them to the home screen provides easy access to them. Instead of searching for interesting places while visiting an unfamiliar city, having locations already pinned to the home screen allows looking at them quick and easy.

To do this, press the first icon at the bottom of the screen
