Hi, you're watching VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to pin programs to the taskbar and start menu on Windows 8 computers. For the sake of this tutorial, we're going to pin Chrome, first to the taskbar, and then to the start menu.

Steps

  1. 1
    Right-click on the icon of the application

    In this case, it's our desktop shortcut for Chrome.

    Click "Pin to Taskbar"
    .
    It's about halfway down the menu. Now let's pin it to the start menu.

    Mouse over the lower-left corner of the screen and click the thumbnail that appears
