You're watching VisiHow. In this tutorial, I'm going to demonstrate how to do a factory reset on the Nexus 6P.
From the home screen, take two fingers and swipe down. This will reveal a gear-shaped icon at the top of the screen.
Tap the gear-shaped icon to access the "Settings" panel.
From "Settings", scroll down until you reach "Backup & Reset" under "Personal".
Tap on the "Backup & reset" function once.
Then, tap on "Factory data reset". This will erase all the data from your phone's internal storage including your Google account, system, applications, data, settings, downloaded programs, music, photos, and other user data. The phone will show into which accounts you're currently signed.
Then, tap on "RESET PHONE".
Enter your password. Then, the phone will ask: "Erase all your personal information and downloaded apps? You can't undo this action!"
Tap on "ERASE EVERYTHING". Once the phone reboots, it will no longer have any of your information on it. You will have to set up the phone just as if it has arrived from the factory.
This has been a video tutorial on how to do a factory reset on the Nexus 6P. If you have any questions or comments, please leave them in the space below. Thank you for watching VisiHow!
