    Click the Windows start icon in the bottom-left corner
    The "GIMP" icon may appear as one of your recently used programs.

    If GIMP is not on the list, type "GIMP" into your Windows search bar

    Click "GIMP 2" when it appears
    It will begin to load. The GIMP window will be open. There is "Toolbox" to the left. There might be the layers window on the right-hand side.

    You can click and drag the background space window by the border
    You can move it around.

    To maximize your workspace, if it is small, simply click the square icon in the top right-hand corner of the window
