   To begin, unlock the phone by pressing the power button on the top, right-hand side

   Now swipe up to enter the home screen

   The Kindle application is installed on the home screen in this example

   It says Kindle on it. If this icon is not on the home screen it can be accessed through the Apps menu.

   The Apps icon can be found in the bottom, right-hand corner of the home screen of this example

   Tap the Kindle icon once to open the application directly from the home screen

   If we do want to view the books that we have already loaded onto the device we can press the icon of the three lines next to the Kindle icon in the top left-hand corner of the screen

   Tap these three lines to open a menu with the options to go the Home page, make a "Search," visit the "Store," and look at the LIBRARY, or YOUR ACCOUNT and "Settings." Now, we want to see the items that are on the device, which is in the library section

   Tap "ON Device" one time and we can see some of the items are samples and the one item that has been downloaded in this example

   If we want to view and read the item that we've downloaded, tap on it once

    It automatically opens up the book as a page

    When we have read the pages we advance to the next page by sliding to the right
