My Samsung Galaxy Note3 is stuck on my carrier's 2G network. Will you please explain why?
There are a number of possible reasons why your Samsung Galaxy Note3 is stuck on your carrier's 2G network. The most likely reason is that you're currently in an area of poor service. If you go to a bigger city and you're still stuck on 2G, your device's cellular settings may have been changed. To make sure that your Galaxy Note3 is set up to connect to 3G, 4G, and 4G LTE, do the following:
- Turn your phone off and take out the SIM card.
- Turn your phone on.
- Wait for 1 minute.
- Go to your Phone application and dial *#2263#.
- You will now see a list of radio settings.
- GSM All will only allow your Samsung Galaxy Note3 to connect to your carrier's 2G network.
- WCDMA All will allow your Samsung Galaxy Note3 to connect to HSPA+ (which is 3G, or 4G non-LTE).
- Any option with +LTE will allow your phone to connect to any network.
Note: this method only works with non-Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note3 phones. Verizon has disabled this feature for their customers. If you have a Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note3 and going to a bigger city does not fix your 2G-only issue, you will need to take your device into a Verizon store to either schedule a repair or get your device swapped. If going to a bigger city or following the instructions above has not fixed the issue on your non-Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note3, you will need to go to your carrier's nearest store or contact Samsung's customer support to schedule a repair or replacement for your phone so you can use 3G, 4G, and 4G LTE on your device.
My Note3 Verizon phone doesn't have 3G, and I need to command my phone to that setting, what can I do?
I'm using Note3 Verizon and I had problem, I am not able to use 3G network all time or either lte. I have tried: Restoring to default, changing some of our carrier SIM card. I think it was caused by: Network problem, I need to use 3G all of the time
