Navigate the Elder Scrolls Online Game Interface

You're watching VisiHow! In this tutorial, we are continuing our series on playing the Elder Scrolls Online game, and we are going to be showing you the basics of getting started with your very first character and navigating the interface.
Steps
- 1One of the nice things about this game is that all of the different options that we have will be shown to us along with the hot keys.We have a pop-up window that we can close by pressing the "Alt" key or clicking the "Exit" button.
- 2This is helpful for us.For example, in the bottom, we can click "Exit" or press "Alt".
- 3We have "Crown Store", "Inventory", "Character", "Skills", "Journal" (our quests are stored here), "Collections", "Map", "Group" (for forming or looking for groups of people in the game), "Friends" (we meet friends in the game), "Guilds" (notice that it is in plural as we can be members in multiple guilds), "Alliance War" (our current progression in the Alliance War), "Mail" (including notifications), and, of course, the "Help" option.At the top, we have a list of options.
- 4We have "All" selected.We are going to focus on our actual character first.
- 5We will see what weapons our character is carrying.We can click "Weapons".
- 6We will see the apparel our character is carrying.We can click "Apparel".
- 7We will see potions or experience items.We can click "Consumables".
- 8We can click "Materials".
- 9Miscellaneous things will show up in this category.We can click "Miscellaneous".
- 10We will see quest items that we have.We can click "Quests".
- 11We sell the items from this category.We can click "Junk".
- 12We click "Items" option to view the menu with the aforementioned categories anytime we want.
- 13We will be shown our quick slots. This is a list of different things that we can quickly and easily access while playing the game. Those of us who are familiar with the Elder Scrolls series will know that quick slots have been used in Skyrim too to access items quickly and easily. They are helpful.When we have finished examining the items, we click the "Quickslots" arrow.
- 14In this video, we have 2 notifications from chat. We hover the cursor to the other icon and see that we have unread messages.We can hover our cursor to the chat area.
- 15This is our first time with the character. We will see in the "MAIL" window what is available, obviously.Let's click the unread message icon.
- 16Let's press "Alt" to close the window.
- 17Customer Appreciation has sent us "the Explorer's Package bonus features". We can play any race in any alliance, we have a vanity pet, and we have treasure maps attached.We will have our first message to the right.
- 18We can click them or take them. We have treasure maps. When we pick them up, they are ours.We can hover the mouse cursor over the attachments.
- 19To pick up all of the attachments, we double-click them or press "E".
- 20"X" will delete the message. If we prefer, we can press "Alt" to exit. We do not need the message anymore, so pressing "X" will delete the message.Now, we can delete the message or click "Exit".
- 21If we want to delete the message, we press "E". The mail will be gone.There will be a prompt about deletion.
- 22We can press "Alt" to close mail.
- 23If we want to access chat, we simply press "Alt", which freezes the screen and brings up chat and mail Windows.
- 24These are invitations.We can click on notifications.
- 25We can press "Alt" to exit the window.
- 26They are "Upgrade has been updated with the Any Race, Any Alliance collectible." and "Pets has been updated with the Vermilion Scuttler collectible." These will be in our collections.We'll see the notifications.
- 27We have talked about this option at the top of the screen before. This will show everything that we have.If we press "E", we can go to "Collections".
- 28We can see our collections.Let's go ahead and press "Alt" to close this window.
- 29We already have "ANY RACE, ANY ALLIANCE" unlocked.The "UPGRADE" section has "ANY RACE, ANY ALLIANCE".
- 30It has costumes that we get. "DARK SEDUCER", "EMPEROR'S REGALIA", etc.We click "COSTUMES".
- 31We have "RAZAK'S OPUS" and "VERMILION SCUTTLER".We click "PETS".
- 32Currently, we do not have any mounts; but we can purchase one. Each mount is 10,000 gold. We can also buy them in the store. We have a VisiHow tutorial on mounts. The time it takes to earn 10,000 gold is average, and we may or may not really enjoy earning that. It is possible to spend a few dollars instead of earning gold too.We click "MOUNTS".
- 33Now, we are with our character.We press "Alt" to exit the window.
- 34We can move the mouse up and down, around, looking at the very top.
- 35There is a skeleton of someone who did not escape.There is an arrow on top indicating where the quest objective is.
- 36"W" moves us forward. "S" moves us back. "A" moves us left. "D" moves us right."W", "A", "S", and "D" are the standard movement keys.
- 37However, this is a topic for another tutorial. This tutorial was about getting started in the game, understanding how to navigate around, and learning what items, options, and things our character has available to him or her.We can look around and explore our surroundings and figure out how to escape Coldharbour.
