Questions and Answers

My phone won't turn on, charge up or reboot?

My Samsung Galaxy Ace won't turn on or reboot. However, when I connect a charger it comes up with an empty battery with a circle in the middle.

The icon you're seeing -- the empty battery with a circle in the middle -- is indicative of a faulty battery. The icon appears when your battery is having issues that cause your device to deem it unworthy to finish its boot up process; this is why your phone will take a charge, but it won't turn on or reboot even when it's plugged in. To solve this issue, you will need to purchase a new battery. Amazon is currently selling an original Samsung Galaxy Ace battery for a relatively cheap price here. Once you get the battery, simply take the old one out and insert the new one. Charge your phone for a few hours. It should now turn on. If it doesn't, your phone's battery contacts may be malfunctioning. Contact Samsung to schedule a repair for your Samsung Galaxy Ace.
