My boyfriend told his ex about our future plans, should I be upset?

My boyfriend told his ex wife that I want a baby girl, she got upset because she told him he can only have one baby girl (the daughter he has with her) I feel hurt because I never wanted him to share out intentions with her & honestly I don't think it's any of her business, I expressed this to him and he is making it seem like I shouldn't care, am I wrong?
