Hello, and welcome to VisiHow. In this tutorial, we are going to show you how to mute an account using the Twitter application on the HTC One M8.

   To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on the top of the phone

   Once the phone has been activated, we will see the lock screen.

   To unlock the phone, swipe the screen upwards

   Once the phone has been unlocked, we will see the home screen and multiple icons at the bottom. It is one of these icons that we will access to open up the applications folder.

   Tap the icon that looks like a grid of white dots, that is located at the bottom of the screen in the middle to open the applications folder

   Find the Twitter application, and tap on it once to open the application

   .

   The Twitter application has a blue background with a white bird on it, with the word "Twitter" underneath it. Your Twitter application may be in a different position in this folder, therefore you will need to find it.

   Choose an account that we'd like to mute by tapping on it once

   Once we're at the account profile, we'll tap on the three dots icon in the top-right corner of the screen

   This will give us options for the account.

   Tap on "Mute", which is the middle option

   It will say, "Mute (username)? You won't see Tweets from (username) or get notifications about them. They won't know they've been muted."

   To cancel and not mute the person, tap on "CANCEL"

   If we want to continue and mute the person we will tap on "YES I'M SURE"

   Now it says "Muted (username)" at the bottom, and as we just read, we will no longer see notifications or information about this particular account.

    To unmute someone, tap on the three vertical dots icon in the top-right corner of the account profile screen

    Now, tap on "Unmute" where it said "Mute" before

    As we can see, it now says "Unmuted (username)" so now we can receive notifications and information about this account.
