Edited by Thor, Crystal, Eng
Hello and welcome to VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to move around the map in the Google Maps application on an HTC One M8.
Steps
1
To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on top of the phone
.
Once the phone has been activated we will see the lock screen.
2
To unlock the phone, swipe the screen up
.
Once the phone has been unlocked we will see the home screen, and at the bottom we will see 5 icons. We now need to open the application folder.
3
We can do that by tapping the icon in the middle, at the bottom of the screen
.
There is a grid of white dots. This is the icon for the applications folder.
4
Now that the folder has been opened, we need to find and tap on the Maps application
.
It has a map icon with a red pin and says "Maps" underneath. This will open the Maps application. We want to demonstrate how to move around the map.
5
To do that, all we need is one finger, press down on the screen and swipe around
.
The map will move as we move the finger allowing us to move around the map. We're just going to swipe around.
6
If we need to go back to our current location, we can tap on the white circle with a target
.
7
It has taken us all the way back to our current location, marked by the blue circle
.
8
This concludes the tutorial on how to move around the map in the Google Maps application on an HTC One M8
.
