    Make sure that the Ball Head is tightened by turning the lock into the lock position

    If you cannot attach the Ball Head owing to the knob being lowered, you can pull it towards you and turn

    Once you have tightened the Ball Head, screw it onto the slider by turning the base of the Ball Head clockwise

    When this has been done, the Quick Release Plate will be released

    You can install the Quick Release Plate onto your Canon camera by screwing the plate into the thread at the bottom. The threads on the plate show that there are two ways to mount it, depending on which way you want the camera lens to face.

    To mount the camera on top of the Ball Head in this position, slide it on so that the long side is facing the latch

    You will notice that there is a long side, as well as a short side on the Quick Release Plate. Make sure that the long side is toward the latch and push down until the Quick Release Plate snaps into place.
