Hi! You're watching VisiHow. Today, we're going to demonstrate how to mirror an Android phone or tablet on either a Mac or a PC using the Vysor Chrome extension.
First, prepare the phone by tapping on "Apps".
Scroll down to the bottom of the "Settings" menu and tap on "About device".
Tap on "Build number" three times. A message will show that four more taps are needed.
Tap on "Build number" four more times. A message will read "Developer mode has been turned on".
Once you have enabled "Developer mode", tap on the new option, "Developer options". It is in the settings menu of the device.
Check the "USB debugging" box to activate the option.
On your computer, Open Chrome and navigate to the Vysor page
. Alternatively, search for "Vysor Chrome".
Now that USB debugging is enabled, click "Launch App". It is the green button in the upper-right corner of the Vysor web page. This action will open Vysor (Beta).
Click "Find devices" at the bottom of the pop-up box. In this video, "SAMSUNG_Android from Samsung" will be found. The serial number of the device is shown in the right-hand column.
Click the device name so that it is highlighted in blue.
Then, click "Select" in the lower-right corner of the pop-up box. Now, a message will appear on the phone asking if it should allow USB debugging on the device.
For this tutorial, let's check the "Always allow this computer" box.
Then, tap on "OK". The phone will ask if you want Google to regularly check for security problems and prevent or warn about potential harm.
Tap on "ACCEPT" in this pop-up box. Now, you can see that the Android screen is being shown on the Mac.
Clicking anything in the mirrored phone on the computer will perform the actions on the Android device. For example, clicking the Google search on the computer will control the device as well. If you enter "typing on mac" in the Android search bar on the Mac, it will also show up on the Android device itself. This might be a good way of making videos of the Android device while using your Mac.
This was a tutorial on how to mirror Android on the Mac. Please leave any questions or comments below. Thank you for watching VisiHow!
